Our Story

A Taste of France in Denver

Trompeau Bakery is a family-owned, authentic French bakery proudly serving the Denver community. Founded in 2001 near the University of Denver campus, our journey began with a simple goal — to bring the warmth, aroma, and tradition of true French baking to Colorado. As our following grew, we relocated to our current home on South Broadway in Englewood in 2011, where locals and visitors alike continue to gather for freshly baked breads, croissants, quiches, cookies, and pastries — all made from scratch each morning by our professionally trained bakers and pastry chefs.


The Englewood Bakery

Our Englewood location is a cozy neighborhood spot with a welcoming café area, free Wi-Fi, and a sunny patio — perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of coffee and a warm croissant. We take pride in crafting everything by hand, from start to finish, six days a week — a tradition that defines who we are.


Café Croissant – Downtown Denver

Expanding on our love for French baking, we introduced Trompeau Café Croissant on the newly renovated 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. Open seven days a week, our café offers an irresistible menu of sandwiches, quiches, pastries, cookies, parfaits, ice cream, and more — all paired with locally roasted coffee from Kaladi Coffee Roasters. Whether you're stopping by on your morning commute or settling in to enjoy the downtown buzz, Café Croissant combines the same Trompeau quality with a lively city flair.
